AN ORDINANCE repealing Section 34, and amending Section 36 of Water Code Ordinance
No. B -606, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the
operation of the Water Department of the City of Yakima; providing
for the management and control thereof; providing for rules and regul-
ating and fixing the use and price of water supplied by the City and
connections therewith; amending and rewriting Ordinance A -988 as
amended;providing penalties for the violation thereof; repealing
certain ordinances and declaring an emergency;" and prescribing
penalties for delinquency in the payment of water bills.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Effective July 1, 1956, section 36 of Ordinance No. B -606
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"All water charges shall be due and payable at the office of the
city treasurer on or before the 10th day after bill has been
issued therefor, and if unpaid shall become delinquent after said
10th day, and said date of delinquency shall be indicated on said
bill. A penalty in the sum of 10% of the amount of said water
bill shall be added thereto and shall become a part thereof if the
same becomes delinquent as hereinabove provided. Thereafter payment
of said water bill shall not be accepted unless payment of said
additional penalty is made at the same time."
Section 2. Section 34 of Ordinance No. B -606 is hereby repealed.

of May, 1956.

passed on the 29th day of May, 1956, and that same has been published as required
by law.
