ORDINANCE NO. B -2102
AN ORDINANCE authorizing the transfer of $ 7,000.00 from the Current Expense Fund to the
Policemen's Relief and Pension Fund within the 1957 Budget., and declaring
an emergency.
WHEREAS, a shortage exists in the Policemen's Relief and Pension Fund, and
WHEREAS, the action contemplated herein is authorized by R.C.W. 35.33.120,
NOW, THEREFORE, .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring additional funds within the
Policemen's. Relief and Pension Fund, said emergency arising by reason of the increased
costs of pensions which could not reasonably be foreseen at the time of adoption of the
1957 Budget.
Section 2. That the sum of $ 7,000.00 be and the same is hereby transferred
from the Current Expense Fund to the Policemen's Relief and Pension Fund and the City
Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to make the aforementioned transfer
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the preservation
of the public peace, property, health and safety of the people of the City of Yakima;
and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and said ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, approval and publication as provided
for in the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 4th day of December,
1957.
