ORDINANCE NO. B -2081
AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. B -224, passed and approved August 16, 1937 and as a-
mended by Ordinance No. B -1899, passed and approved June 25, 1956; said Ord-
inance B -224 entitled "AN ORDINANCE creating a Planning Commission for the
City of Yakima, providing for the powers and duties of such Commission, re-
pealing Ordinance No:: A -893 and declaring an emergency."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. B -224 as amended by Ordinance No. B-
1899 is hereby amended to read as follows:

There is hereby created for the City of Yakima a City Plqnning Commission,
to consist of 9 members. One member of such Planning Commission shall be the City Engin-
eer, whose term of office shall coincide with that of his official term of office with
the City of Yakima. The other 8 members of said Commission shall be appointed by the Com-
missioner of Public Works - subject to the approval of a majority of the City Commission.
Section 2. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation
of public peace, property, health and safety of the people of the City of Yakima and an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and said Ordinance shall be in full force and eff-
ect from and after the date of its passage, approval, and publication as provided by the
City Charter.
PASSED by the City Commission, signed and approved this 25th day of Septem-
ber, 1957.

the same has been published as required by law.
