ORDINANCE NO B -2063
AN ORDINANCE for the preservation of the public peace, safety, morality and good order in
the City of Yakima; defining who are disorderly persons and vagrants; provid-
ing. penalties :for the violation thereof and amending Ordinance No. A -236; an.
declaring an emergency. .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section. 1. That sub - section 7 of Section 1 of Ordinance No. A -236 be, and
the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
"7. Concealed Weapons. Any person in said City, except police officers and
other persons who are authorized by law or have obtained proper authority so
to do from the Chief of Police of said City, who shall carry or wear in any
manner concealed upon his person, or have in his possession, or under his
control, except in his place of abode or fixed place of business, any dirk,
dagger, stilletto, bowie knife, sword cane, gun, pistol, revolver, slingshot,
blow gun, bow and arrow, metal knuckles or any other dangerous weapon or in-
strument which may be used to inflict injury upon the person of another."
Section 2. Section 26 of Ordinance No. A -236 be, and the same is hereby,
amended to read as follows:
"Section 26. When any person shall be found guilty of carrying or having in
his possession or under his control a concealed weapon as provided in this
Ordinance, the weapon or weapons found shall be confiscated by the Chief of
Police and forfeited to the City of Yakima."
Section 3. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, property, health, safety and an emergency is hereby declared to ex-
ist and that this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its pass-
age, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 14th day of August,
1957.

has been published as required by law.
