ORDINANCE .NO. B -1979
AN ORDINANCE providing for the transfer of funds within the Street Fund, and declaring
an emergency.
WHEREAS, a surplus of funds exists in the Labor item of the "Salaries"
classification of the Street Fund, while a shortage exists in the Road Oil item in
the "Maintenance and Operation" classification in said fund, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it in the best interests of the City
to make a certain transfer within said street appropriation, and
WHEREAS, the action contemplated herein is authorized by R.C.M. 35.33.
120, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That $1,500.00 be, and the same is hereby, transferred from
the Labor item in the "Salaries" classification in said Street Fund to the Road Oil
item in the "Maintenance and Operation" classification in said Street Fund.
Section 2. That the City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to make the aforementioned transfers in the Street Fund.
Section 3. This ordinance is one providing for the transfer of funds
from one item to another, within the Street Fund of the 1956 Budget, and an emergency
is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the city charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 31st day of
December, 1956.
