B -1975 AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not provided f or in the 1956 bud- get for the acquisition of a Capital Outlay item in the City Clerk's account of the current expense fund, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, the 1956 Budget failed to provide an appropriation for Capital Outlay items within the City Clerk's account of the Current Expense Fund, and WHEREAS, excess monies within said account are available to meet the required expenditures, and WHEREAS, the action contemplated herein is authorized by R.C.W. 35.33.090, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA : Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of $145.00 for a desk for the City Clerk's office. That said emergency has, arisen by reason of the fact that said Capital Outlay item was first known to be necessary after passage of the 1956 budget by the City Commission. Section 2. That the City Commission deems it in the best interests of the City to make said appropriation within the City Clerk account of the Current Ex- pense Fund. Section 3. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered, and dir- ected to issue emergency warrants upon the Extra Clerk item in the City Clerk's acc- ount in the sum of $145.00 upon the presentation of the proper vouchers therefor, said amount to be used for the purchase of a desk and being within the "Capital Outlay" classification of said current expense fund. Section 4. This ordinance is one providing for t he expenditure of funds not budgeted and an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication provided by law and the city charter.
