B -1941 AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of the street in the City of Yakima mentioned and described as follows, to -wit: Knobel Avenue, Laying adjacent to Lots 19 and 20, and Lots 6, 7, and 42i' of Lot $ of Crescent Hill Homes, ending 3$0' East of Crescent Hill Drive, in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima for the vacation of the hereinafter described property, and WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Commission a hearing on said petition was set for the 10th day of October, 1956, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon of said day in the office of the City Commission at the City Hall, Yakima, Washington, and notice thereof was duly given in the manner provided by statute, and by the City Clerk of said city, and WHEREAS, upon the hearing on said petition no objection was filed or made by any abutting property owner the said city being the sole owner of the said abutting property, and it being deemed for the best interests of the City of Yakima, and the public at large and there being no adverse vested interests, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That that portion of the street known as Knobel Avenue within the City of Yakima lying between the points and upon the property hereinafter described, to-wit: Knobel Avenue, laying adjacent to Lot 19 and 20, and Lots 6, 7, and 42 of Lot $ of Crescent Hill Homes, ending 380' East of Crescent Hill Drive, in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington. be and the same is hereby vacated. Section 2. The city of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary easements and rights of way for the installation and maintenance of any and all water mains, sewers, or Utilities of any and all kinds which may now exist in said street or which it may here- after desire to construct thereon. Section•3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, - health and safety of the people of the City of Yakima; and an emergency is hereby declared to exist; and said ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
