B -1940 AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds nat provided for in the 1956 budget for the payment of the contract with the Sterling Codifiers for their preparation and publication of a compilation or codification of the ordinances of the City of Yakima; and declaring an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of $4250.00 for the payment of moneys due under a contract between the City of Yakima and the Sterl- ing Codifiers for the preparation of a compilation of the ordinances of the City of Yakima pursuant to ordinance duly passed by the city commission in 1955. Section 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to issue emergency warrants upon the funds chargeable therefore upon the presentation of proper vouchers for the payment of the contract price to the Sterling Codifiers for their work in preparing and publishing a compilation of the ordinances of the City of Yakima, pursuant to and in accordance with an ordinance heretofore adopted by the commission of the City of Yakima. Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the expenditure of funds not budgeted and an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
