ORDINANCE NO. B -1887
AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima, Washington, of
certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been had in accordance with Chapter 125 of the
Laws of 19J5, for the annexation of the property hereinafter described, now, there-
fore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That.the following described territory contiguous to the
City of Yakima, Washington, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of 16th Avenue South,
with the center line of Grant Street; thence south along the center
line of 16th Avenue South to the center line of Plath Avenue; thence
west along the center line of Plath Avenue to the west line extended
of Lot 32, Plat of Suburban Acre Homes; thence north along the west
line of Lots 32, 29 and 22 of said Suburban Acre Homes to the south
line of Lot 20, Suburban Acre Homes; thence west along the south line
of said Lot 20 extended to the center line of 20th Avenue South; thence
north along the center line of 20th Avenue South to the center line of
Grant Street; thence east along the center line of Grant Street to the
east line extended bf the West Half of Lot 7, Block 2, Stone's Addition;
thence North along said east line to the north line of said Lot 7;
thence east along the north line of Lot 7 of said Addition to the east
line of said Lot 7; thence south along said east line extended to the
center of Grant Street; thence east along the center line of Grant
Street to its intersection with the west line extended of Lot 5, Block
1, Stone's Addition; thence north along the west line of Lots 8 and 3
of Block 1, Stone's Addition, to the center line of Prasch Avenue, which
is the present city boundary; thence following the present city boundary
along the center line of Prasch Avenue, the east line of Lots 3 and 8
Block 1, Stone's Addition, and the center line of Grant Street, to the
center line of 16th Avenue South, which is the point of beginning, situate
in Yakima County, Washington;
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 25th day of May,
1956.
