ORDINANCE NO. B -1864
AN ORDINANCE amending subdivisions (h) and (j) of Section 88 of Ordinance No. B -1526 en-
titled AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic, travel and trans-
portation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the
public; prescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation
thereto; defining offenses; providing penalties, and repealing Ordinance No.
B -131 and all amendments thereof and all other ordinances in so far as they
are in conflict therewith, and declaring an emergency ", as amended by Ordi-
nance No. B -1546, and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Section 8 (h) of Ordinance No. B -1526, passed on December
31, 1953, and entitled as set forth in the caption hereof, as amended by Ordinance No.
B -1546, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(h) ONE HOUR PARKING METER ZONES: The following described portions of the
following named avenues and streets in the City of Yakima are hereby establidud
as one hour parking meter zones:
Both sides of East "A" Street from Front Street to Naches Avenue, except
the north side of East "A" Street between Second Street and the alley
between Second Street and Third Street;
Both sides of Yakima Avenue from Naches Avenue to 6th Avenue, except first
and last meters on north and south side of Yakima Avenue from Front
to 1st Street; first and last meters on north and south sides of
Yakima Avenue from let to 2nd Street; first and last meters on north
and south sides of Yakima Avenue from 2nd to 3rd Streets; first and
last meters on north and south sides of Yakima Avenue from 3rd to
4th Street; first and last meters on north and south sides of Yakima
Avenue from 4th Street to Naches Avenue; the north side of West
Yakima Avenue from the point 80 feet west of the west curb line on
North lst Avenue; thence west 43 feet;
Both sides of East Chestnut Street from Front Street to 4th Street;
Both sides of 1st Street from "B!' Street to Spruce Street;
Both sides of 2nd Street from "B" Street to Walnut Street;
Both sides of 3rd Street from "B" Street to Walnut Street, except four
meter zones referred to in subdivision (k) hereof;
Both sides of 4th Street from "A" Street to Chestnut Street;
West side of North 2nd Avenue from Yakima Avenue to first alley;
West side of South 2nd Avenue from Yakima Avenue to Chestnut Street;
Both sides of South 3rd Avenue from Yakima Avenue to Chestnut Street;
East side of North 4th Street from "A" Street to "B" Street;
South side of East "B" Street from the alley between 2nd Street and
3rd Street to the alley between 3rd Street and 4th Street."
Section 2. That Section 88'(j) of Ordinance No. B -1526, passed on December
31, 1953, and entitled as set forth in the caption hereof, as amended by Ordinance No.
B -1546, is hereby amended to read as follows: .
"(j) FIFTEEN MINUTE PARKING METER ZONES: The following described portions
of the following named avenues and streets in the City of Yakima are hereby
established as fifteen minute parking meter zones:
West side, South 2nd'Avenue from Yakima Avenue to a distance south of
Yakima Avenue, 60 feet;
North side of East "A" Street between 2nd Street and the alley between
Second and Third Street."
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, property, health and safety, and an emergency is declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, ap-
proval and publication, as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 26th day of March,
1956.

and transportation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the public;
prescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining

of and all other ordinances in so far as they are in conflict therewith, and declaring an
emergency ", as amended by Ordinance No. B- 1546, and declaring an emergency." as passed on
the 26th day of March, 1956, and that same has been published as required by law.
