B -1863 AN-ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for the payment of the cost of repairing fire damages of the Street Department shed at South Third Avenue and Division, and declaring an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of the total sum of $1493.38 for the payment . of the following bills: McLean Eleetric.Co. $506.91 • Cascade Lumber Co. 105.0.5 • Street Department 422.59 - Yakima Hardware Co. 127.13 Helliesen Lumber Co.. 1. 0 • for the payment of cost, material and labor bills, and expenses of repairing the fire damage to the Street Department shed at the City property on South Third Avenue and Division Street; and it is deemed for the best interests of the City of Yakima that the I said repairs be made; and it appearing that sufficient funds therefor were not appropri- ated or included in the 1956 budget, and that it was impossible at the time of making said budget to have reasonably foreseen the need for such additional moneys for said purpose. Section 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to issue,emergency warrants upon the Street Department fund for said purpose in the total amount of $1493.38 upon the presentation of proper vouchers therefor. Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the expenditure of funds not budgeted, and an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become ef- . f ective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter. • PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 26th day of March, 1956.
