B -1$49 AN ORDINANCE establishing voters registration offices in the fire stations of the Yakima Fire Department and authorizing the appointment of Deputy Registrars therei BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: • Section 1. Registration offices shall be maintained in each of the three (3) fire stations of the Fire Department of the City of Yakima and the registration files shall be kept open for the registration of voters at such places between $:OOo' clock a.m. and $:00 o'clock p.m. on all days except Sundays, and at each of said locations the same shall be in charge of one or more city firemen designated by the Chief of the Fire Dep- artment and appointed as a Deputy Registrar and Deputy City Clerk for such purpose by the CityClerk, without additional salary, and registration of voters shall be permitted in said locations as provided herein and subject to the general supervision of the City Clexk, Section 2. During a period of ninety (90) days after the effective date of this Ordinance, the said Deputy Registrars and Deputy City Clerks shall, also obtain vot- ers registrations from qualified electors residing in said city and not presently regis- teres who are confined as patients in hospitals and nursing homes in, said city. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by Law and the City Charter.
