ORDINANCE NO. B -1$42a
AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for the Policemen's
Relief & Pension Fund, and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of additiona
sums covering an over- expenditure of the sum of $2613.69 for Policemen's Relief and Pen-
sion benefits during the calendar year 1955, it appearing that sufficient funds therefor
were not appropriated or included in the 1955 budget of the City of Yakima and that it
was impossible at the time of making said budget to have reasonably foreseen the need fog
such additional funds for said purpose.
Section 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and directed
to issue emergency warrant upon the funds properly charggeable therefor for the said pur-
pose set forth in Section-1 hereof in the sum of $2613.69 upon presentation of proper
vouchers therefor.
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the expenditure of funds
not budgeted, and an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become ef-
fective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and
the City Charter.
