ORDINANCE NO. B -1$42
AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. B -1627 entitled "AN ORDINANCE providing for the ac -.
quisition by condemnation proceedings or purchase of real property for the
enlargement and improvement of the Yakima Municipal Airport, providing for
the method of payment therefor, and declaring an emergency "; and adding
thereto certain additional provisions with reference to construction of roads
and fences on said property, and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Ordinance No. B -1627 passed on December 1, 1954, entitled as
shown in the caption hereof is hereby amended by adding thereto the following additional
sections to be designated as hereinafter shown:
"Section 4. The City of Yakima shall at its own expense construct suitable
fences on the outside boundaries of the property described in the first,
second and fourth paragraphs of the legal descriptions contained in Section
1 of said Ordinance No. B -1627, the same being the properties therein de-
scribed owned by Congdon Orchards, Inc., a corporation, and Derwin E. Lisk
and Avis L. Lisk, his wife; and the City of Yakima shall at its own expense
construct a suitable hard - surfaced oiled roadway 20 feet in width in addi-
tion to suitable shoulders and ditches, south of and adjacent to the follow-
ing described line in Yakima County, Washington, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the West line of the Southeast quarter of the North-
west quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 1$ E.W.M., 275 feet
north of the Southwest corner of said.Subidivision; south 70 03
east a distance of 709.1 feet to a point which is 667.38 feet east and 35.3$
feet north of the southwest corner of said Subdivision, in Yakima County,
Washington;
and the City of Yakima shall at its own expense construct a suitable hard -
surfaced oiled roadway 20 feet in width in addition to suitable shoulders
and ditches, north of and adjacent to the following described line, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the West line of the Northwest quarter of the South -
east Quarter of Section 34, Township 13 North, Range 1$ E.W.M., 37 feet
south of. the Northwest corner thereof; thence south 70° 03' east 1402.4 feet
to a point on the center line of Sorensen Road 511.03 feet south of the

center line of Washington Avenue, situate in Yakima County, Washington.
Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, property, health and safety, and an emergency is declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, appro-
val and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 6th day of February,
1956.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of Ordinance
No. B- 1842 entitled "AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. B -1627 entitled "AN ORDINANCE
providing for the acquisition by condemnation proceedings or purchase of real property
for the enlargement and improvement of the Yakima Municipal Airport, providing for the
method of payment therefor, and declaring an emergency "; and adding thereto certain ad-
ditional provisions with reference to construction of roads and fences on said property,
and declaring an emergency." as passed this 6th day of February, 1956, and that same has
been published as required by law.
