B -1$37 AN ORDINANCE providing for the transfer of funds from certain items budgeted for certain departments of the City of Yakima to other budgeted items of said depart- ments for the calendar year 1955, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, certain departments of the City of Yakima have overspent certain items budgeted for said departments for the calendar year 1955, and sufficient funds therefor are available from certain other items budgeted for said departments and it hav- ing been ascertained that said excess sums will not be entirely used for said items; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1: That an additional sum of $467.30 is required for the Mainten- ance and Operation Item of Signal Maintenance and that said sum is available for trans- fer from the Capital Outlay item of New Signal Equipment budgeted for the Fire Depart- ment of said City of Yakima. Section 2: That the following additional sums are needed for the following items of the Garage Department of said City of Yakima: General Supplies and Expenses, $107.55 Coal and Fuel, 60.97 Industrial I and Medical Aid, 73.01 and that said sums, or a total of $241.53, are available for transfer from the Salary item of Extra Labor of said Garage Department. Section 3: That the following additional sums are needed for the follow- ing items of the Airport for the calendar year 1955: Retirement Funds, $456.50 General Expense, 327.45 1, Office Supplies, 54.65 Building Maintenance,. 51$.44 and that the total of said four items, $13$7.04, is available for transfer from the Capital Outlay item of said Airport budget for 1955. Section 4. That the expenditure of said funds for said purposes in the manner described in Sections 1, 2, and 3 hereinabove set forth, and the transfer of said funds as hereinabove stated is hereby fully and in alit respects authorized and approved; and the appropriate city officials are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to do any and all things necessary or proper for carrying out this ordinance. Section 5. This ordinance is one providing for the transfer of funds from one item to another in the 1955 budget, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, ap- provai and publication, as provided by law and the City Charter.
