ORDINANCE NO. B -1$31
AN ORDINANCE relating to minimum roof loads of buildings, amending Section 2305 of the
Uniform Building Code, 1955 edition, as applied to the City of Yakima, and
declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 2305 of the Uniform Building Code, 1955 edition, as
applied to the City of Yakima, is hereby amended by the addition thereto of the following
paragraph:
II
"The roofs of all buildings, except greenhouses, lath houses, and agricultural
buildings, shall be designed, within the stress limitations of this Code.,
to sustain a minimum live load of thirty (30) pounds per square foot, com-
bined snow and wind load, in addition to all other live and dead loads in-
volved in each case."
Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, property, health and safety of the people of the City of Yakima, and
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, approval and publication, as provided in
the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 30th day of Jan-
uary, 1956.
