ORDINANCE NO. B -1$15
AN ORDINANCE providing for the transfer of funds from certain budgeted items of the
street department and irrigation department of the City of Yakima, and
declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, the street department and irrigation department have overspent
certain items budgeted for said departments for the calendar year 1955, and sufficient
funds therefor are available from certain other items budgeted for said departments and
it having been ascertained that said excess sums will not be entirely used for said items;
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1: That the sum of $200.00 additional is required for the capital
outlay item of •"New Structures, Pipe, etc. (Screening Boxes)" and it has been ascertain-
ed that the item of "Electric Power" will not be entirely used for said purposes and
said sum of $200.00 is available for transfer from said "Electric Power" item to said
"New Structures, Pipe, etc. (Screening Boxes)" of the irrigation department of the City
of Yakima.
Section 2. That an additbnal sum of $300.00 is required for the .mainten-
ance and operation item of "Fuel" and an additional "75.00 is required for the item
"Miscellaneous" and it has been ascertained that sufficient funds are available and
will not be used for the capital outlay item of "Automobile" of the street department
of the City of Yakima; and that the additional sum of $400.00 is needed for the salary
item of said street department for "Labor" and that sufficient Rands therefor are avail-
able for transfer from the capital outlay item of "Loader to Replace Scoop" of said
street department.
Section 3. That the expenditure of said funds for said purposes in the
manner described in Section 1 and 2 hereinabove set forth and the said transfers of
funds as hereinabove stated is hereby fully and in all respects authorized and approved;
and the appropriate city officials are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to do
any and all things necessary or proper for carrying out this ordinance.
Section 4: This ordinance is one providing for the transfer of funds from
one item to another in the 1955 budget, and an emergency is declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 3rd day of January
1956.
