B -1$14 AN ORDINANCE providing for payment of the cost of the special city election of December 2$, not to exceed $2000.00, out of the city airport fund, and declaring an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of a sum not to exceed $2000.00 for payment of the cost of the special city election of December 28, 1955; it appearing that funds therefor were not appropriated or included in the 1955 budget, and that it was impossible at the time of making said budget to have reasonably foreseen the need for such additional monies for said purpose; it being understood that said city is to be reimbursed by Cascade Natural Gas Corporation for one -half the cost of said special election as it also includes a vote on the gas franchise ordinance. Section 2; The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to issue emergency warrants upon the city airport fund for said purpose in a sum not to exceed $2000.00 upon the presentation of proper vouchers therefor. Section 3: This ordinance is one providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted, and an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become • effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
