ORDINANCE NO. B -1799
AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for Tahoma Cemetery,
and declaring an .emergency. . 0
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of an addi-
tional sum of $1100.00 to defray expenses of Tahoma Cemetery in 1955, said sum consist-
. ing of the following items: Office supplies, $30.00• hand tools, $2.00; business tax,
$25.00; automobile maintenance, $813.00; materials, $160.00; building repairs, $65.00;
it appearing that sufficient funds therefor were not appropriated by or included in the
1955 budget and that it was impossible at the time of making said budget to have reason-
ably foreseen the need for such additional monies for said purposes.
Section 2. The city treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed
to issue an emergency warrant upon the funds properly chargeable therefor for said pur-
poses in the sum of $1100.00 additional for Tahoma Cemetery, upon the presentation of
proper voucher therefor.
Section 3. This ordinance is one providing for the •expenditure of funds
not budgeted, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be-
come effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 19th day of
December, 1955.
