HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-B-1784 ORDINANCE NO. B -17$4 AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima, Washington of certain property contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington. WHEREAS, proceedings have been had in accordance with Chapter 12$ of the Laws of 1945, for the annexation of the property hereinafter described; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: - 1 Section 1. That the following described territory contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington, to -wit: . Beginning at the intersection of the center line of 5th. Avenue and the center line of Mead Avenue; thence East along the center line of Mead Avenue to the center line of 3rd. Avenue South; thence South along the center line of 3rd. Avenue South to a point 25 feet South of the North line of West Pierce Street; thence West parallel with the North line of West Pierce Street to a point 25 feet West of the East line of Cornell Avenue; thence North parallel with the East line of Cornell Avenue to the center line of West Mead Avenue; thence East along the center line of West Mead Avenue to the center line of 6th. Avenue South; thence South along the centerline of 6th. Avenue South to the center line of West King Street; thence East along the center line of West King Street to the center line of 5th. Avenue South; thence North along the center line of 5th. Avenue South to the point of beginning, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima. Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
