ORDINANCE CVO. B -1703
AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. B -433, entitled "AN ORDINANCE amending
Section 6 of Ordinance No. B -293, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE regulating and
restricting the location of trades and industries; regulating and limiting
the use of buildings and premises; and the height and size of buildings;
providing for yards, courts and other open spaces; establishing districts
for said purposes, and providing for a board of adjustment, and repealing
Ordinances No. B-22, B -35, B- 43,.B- 51,B -71, B-126, B -1 and B -172, by
amending subheading 6 of subdivision (a) thereof, and by adding a new sub-
section to said Section 6, to be known as subsection (3); and declaring an.
emergency", and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No B-433, passed and approved by
the City Commission on the 10th day of February, 1940, and entitled as set forth in the
caption hereof, as amended by Ordinance No. B -1243 passed on April 23, 1951, and as
amended by Ordinance No. B -1650, passed on January 24, 1955, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows :.
"Section 2. That Section 6 of Ordinance No. B-293, passed and approved as
aforesaid, and entitled as above set forth, be and the same is hereby
further amended by adding thereto a new subsection to be known as subsection
(e), reading as follows:
"(e) No service station shall be permitted to be hereafter constructed
within that portion of the business district located within the follow
ing described limits: At no place within one block Northerly or one
block Southerly of Yakima Avenue and West of Naches Avenue and East of
Sixth Avenue; except that service stations shall be permitted to be
constructed on Lots 23, 24, and 25, Block 30, and Lots 25, 26, and �7,
Block 91, Original Townsite of North Yakima, now City of Yakima, Wash-
ington."
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after its pas
sage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 20th day of June,
1955.

published by law.
