HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-B-1699 123 ORDINANCE NO B -1699 AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for the purchase of certain real estate, and declaring an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of the sum of $100.41 for the purchase of the following described real estate, to -wit: Lot 262, Pomona Heights, Division No. 14, according to the plat thereof recorded in volume "B" of Plats, page 82, records of Yakima County., Washington, and the further sum of $1,319.74 for the payment of the purchase price of the following described real estate, to -wit: Lots 257, 2 5 8 , 2 59, 260, 261, 263, 264, 266, and all except the North 400 feet of Lots 268, 269, and 270, Pomona Heights, Division No. 14, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume "B" of Plats, page 82, records of Yakima County, Washington; it appearing that sufficient funds therefor were not appropriated or included in the 195 budget, and that it was impossible at the time of making said budget to have reasonably foreseen the need for such additional monies for said purpose. Section 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered, and directe• to issue emergency warrants upon the fund of the City Sanitation Department for said purl • pose to the extent needed, not exceeding the total sum of $1420.15•, upon the presentation of propert vouchers therefor. Section 3. This ordinance is one providing for the expenditure of funds noii budgeted, and an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become effec- tive immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
