HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-B-1685 X 108 ORDINANCE NO. B -1685 AN ORDINANCE rezoning certain specific property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington. WHEREAS, the City Commission has duly considered the rezoning of certain specific property in the City of Yakima, as hereinafter more fully described; and it appearining that the Yakima Planning Commission has considered and recommended such change; and there having been conducted a public hearing upon the same before the Yakima City Commission; and it appearing to be for the best interests of the City of Yakima to so rezone said premises; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Lots 9, 10 and the West 40 feet of Lot 11, Block 1 Ray's Nob Hill Addition to the City of Yakima, according to the plat thereof recorded in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington; be and the same is hereby rezoned and changed from "B" Residence District to "C° Resi- dence District, the Area and Height District to remain the same as it now is. Section 2. That the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Lots 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17, Block 90, and Lots l to 13, both inclusive, Block 89, original townsite of North Yakima, now Yakima; be and the same is hereby rezoned and changed from "C" Residence District to Business District, the Area and Height District to remain the same as it now is Section 3. That'the following described property situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Lenox Avenue with the East line of Terminal Addition; thence southeasterly along said East line to its intersection with the East half of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 30, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M., to the center line of West Mead Avenue; thence West along said center line to a point 25 feet East of the West line of Voelker Avenue; thence South along said line to the North line of the South 2 acres of Block 1, Phoebe D. Adams Sub- division; thence East along said North line to the East line of Block 1, Phoebe D. Adams Subdivision; thence South to a point 841.2 feet South of the center line of West Mead Avenue; thence East parallel with West Mead Avenue to the westerly right -of -way line of the Union Pacific Railway; thence South -- easterly to the South line of the North hald of the Northeast quarter of Section 31, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M., thence East along said South line to the center line of South First Street; thence Northwesterly along the center line of South First Street to the center line of East Mead Avenue; thence West along said center line to the Westerly line of the Union Pacific Railway; thence Northwesterly along said. Westerly line to the center line of West Lenox Avenue; thence West along said center line to point of beginning; excepting a strip extending 150 feet West and parallel with the West line of South First Street from the South City Limits to Mead Avenue and strip extending 150 feet South of and parallel with the South line of Mead Avenue from South Frist Street to the Northern Pacific right -of -way, . which is to be in the Commercial District, and the 4th Area and Maximum Height District, be and the same is hereby rezoned and designated as Industrial District and the 4th Area and Maximum Height District. Section 4. The above changes in zoning shall be included and depicted upon the next regularly amended use district map prepared by and for the City. All of the limitations on use provided for said districts by the general zoning ordinance of the City of Yakima, the same being Ordinance No. B -293, and amendments thereto, are hereby declared to apply to and govern the property described herein, from and after the ef- fective date of this ordinance. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
