ORDINANCE NO. B -1662
AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for the water depart- -
ment, declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1: That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of an addi-
tional sum of $632.97 as the City of Yakima's share of Union Gap Sewer Operations; it
appearing that sufficient funds therefor were not appropriated or included in the 1 954
budget, and that it was impossible at,the time of making said budget to have reasonably
foreseen the need for such additional monies for said purpose.
Section 2: The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered, and direc-
ted to issue an emergency warrant upon the surplus funds of the City Water Department
for said purpose in the sum of $632.97 upon the presentation of proper voucher there-
for.
Section 3: This ordinance is one providing for the expenditure of funds
not budgeted, and an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and
the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 14th day of Febru-
ary, 1955.
