ORDINANCE NO. B -1620
AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted, for the payment of a
judgment recovered by Anna Blasick and husband, and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That an emergency exists requiring the expenditure of the sum of
FOUR THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTY ONE and 95/100 DOLLARS ($4781.95) as payment of the
judgment entered in the case of ANNA BLASICK and JOHN C. BLASICK, husband and wife, vs.
THE CITY OF YAKIMA, in cause No. 32911, Yakima County Superior Court, on November 30,
1953, including interest, costs and Supreme Court costs, said judgment having been enter-
ed for personal injuries sustained in a fall on an alley crosswalk; it appearing that
funds therefor were not appropriated by or included in the 1954 budget and that it was
impossible at the time of making said budget to have reasonably foreseen the need for
such purpose.
.Section 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed
to issue an emergency, warrant upon the City Street Department fund for said purpose in
the.sum of $4,781.95, upon the presentation of proper voucher therefor.
. Section,/3. This ordinance is one providing for the expenditure of funds not
budgeted, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall become
• effective immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and
the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 22nd day of November,
1 95 4 . .
