ORDINANCE NO. B -1557
AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima, Washington, of certain
property contiguous to the City of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been had in accordance with Chapter 12$ of the
Laws of 1945, for the annexation of the property hereinafter described; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described territory contiguous to the City of
Yakima, Washington, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Summitview Avenue with
the centerline of Crescent Drive; thence easterly along the center line of
Summitview Avenue to a point 182.6 feet-west of the west line of Hillcrest
Avenue, which is the present city boundary; thence northerly parallel with
the west line of Hillcrest Avenue $3$ feet; thence westerly 641.57 feet to
the easterly line of the Yakima Valley Canal Co.'s right -of -way; thence in
a northeasterly and northwesterly direction along the easterly line of the
Yakima Valley Canal Co.'s right -of -way to a point 1096.7 feet north of the
center line of Summitview Avenue, which is on the present city limits;
thence westerly parallel with the center line of Summitview Avenue to the
center line of Crescent Drive; thence southerly along the center line of
Crescent Drive 1096.7 feet to the point of beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective seven (7) days after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, .signed and approved this 10th day of May,
1954.
