ORDINANCE N0: B -1L 7O EigPEALCO BV O RDINANCE NO:.
AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not yet provided for in the 1953
budget, for the payment for the services of Homer M. Hadley, .consulting
engineer,. with reference to the Lenox overpass; and declaring an emergency:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: .
Section 1. That the City ;Commission of the City of Yakima heretofore
employed Homer M. Hadley as a consulting engineer with reference to the Lenox overpass
for the preparation of plans and specifications therefor and other services in connection
therewith, for the agreed sum of $9,000.00, and the performance of his services has been
satisfactorily completed.
Section 2. .That.the employment of said consulting engineer could not have
been reasonably foreseen at the time of the adoption of the 1953 budget. Than an
emergency requiring the expenditure of f -the sum of $9,000.00 for the payment of said
services exists.

Section 3...That the City Treasurer is•hereby authorized, empowered, and
directed to issue an emergency warrant upon the current expense fund, upon the presentat-
ion of a proper voucher for the payment of the sum of $9,000.00 for said services and to
pay the same from said current expense fund.

Section 4. This ordinance is one to provide for the expenditure of funds"
not budgeted and an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall.be in full
force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication, as provided by
law and the City Charter.
