ORDINANCE. NO. B -1408
AN ORDINANCE providing for the expenditure of funds not provided for in the 1952 budget,
for the payment of salary for a fireman, and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, a fireman, to -wit, Paul Mosebar, was suspended without pay from
June 11, 1951 to December 31, 1951,, inclusive; and •
WHEREAS, said fireman has now been reinstated and is entitled to his
back pay for said period, which will require the expenditure of not to exceed $1,733.40,.
which sum was not budgeted in the 1952 budget. Now, therefore,,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA
Section 1. That an. emergency exists requiring the expenditure of not to
exceed $]4,.733.40,, for, the payment of the back salary of a fireman, to -wit, Paul Mosebar.
That the payment of said salary could not reasonably have b een foreseen at the time
of the adoxt ion of the 1952 budget.
Section 2,. The City Treasurer is hereby: authorized, empowered and
directed to issue an emergencywarrant upon the funds,-of..,the City of Yakima, properly
chargeable therefor, upon the presentation of proper salary vouchers for the payment
to said fireman, in an aggregate amount not to exceed 404733.40.
Section 3!. This ordinance in one to provide for the expenditure of funds
not budgeted and an emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in •
full force and effect iinmediat ely upon its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 27th day of
October, 1952. •
