, AN ORDINANCE;' providing for the annexation .by the City of Yakima, Washington, of certain
property contiguous to the present boundaries of said City..
WHEREAS, proceedings have been had in accordance with Chapter 128 of the
Laws of 1945, for the annexation of the property hereinafter described;: now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAK IMA:
Section 1. That the following described territory contiguous to the City
of Yakima, Washington, to -wit: .
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of 46th Avenue North with
the centei°. line , of .Richey Rdad; 'thence `wsesterly along the center line. of •
Richey Road to the west line of the Uplands; thence south along said west
line to the center line of Sunset Avenue; thence east along the center
•line of Sunset Avenue 220 feet;; thence south parallel with the west line
of the southwest quarter of the northe=ast quarter of Section 21, Township
135 North, Range 18, E.W.M.,, to the Yakima Valley Canal Company right of
way;; thence easterly along the Yakima Valley Canal Company right of way
to the northwest corner of Lot 28,, Gilbert Uplands; thence easterly
along the north line of said Lot 28 to the center line of Snow Mountain.
Road; thence northerly and easterly along Snow Mountain Road and .
Avalanche Avenue to its. intersection. with the west line extended of Lot
13, Block- 13„ The Uplands. thence northeasterly along the west line of
Lot 15 and Lot 1 of said Block 1a to the center line of Sunset Avenue;;
thence, easterly along the center line of Sunset Avenue to the Center line
of 46th Avenue North; thence north along said center line to the point of
beginning, according to the official plat thereof now on file and of
record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima.®
Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective ten (10) ,days after its
passage, approval and publication as provide& by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and proved, this 7th day of April,,
1952. -
