BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That an emergency exists, requiring the expenditure of not to exceed $1,,200.00 for postage, printing and stationery made necessary by the increase in postal rates, and the increase in the cost of printing and stationery; which could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of the adoption of the 1952 budget. Section 2, The City Treasurer is hereby authorized,, empowered and directed to issue emergency warrants upon the funds chargeable therefor, upon the presentation of proper vouchers for the purchase of stamps and the payment of printing and stationery required for the billing of L- .I .D. charges, in an aggregate amount not to exceed $1,200.00. Section a. This ordinance is one to provide for the expenditure of funds not budgeted; and an emergency is declared to exist;, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage. approval and publication as provided by law and . the City Charter..
