AN ORDINANCE providing for .the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington,
by the construction of a sewer; establishing a Local Improvement District;
providing for the method of payment therefor; and creating a special
fund. .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA::
Section 1. That property in the City of Yakima, Washington, shall be
• improved by the construction of a. pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches, manholes,
flush tanks and water connections therefor; all_ which property is hereinafter more
particularly described in Section 2 hereof; and by doing all such other work as may
be necessary in connection therewith; all in accordance with the plans and gp ecifications
therefor prepared by the City Engineer, passed, approved and on file with the City
Clerk.
Section 2. There is hereby created and established a local improvement
district to be called "'Local Imp; ovement District No. 733 "; which said district is .
described as follows: .

Lots 1 to 13 >, Block 16; . •
Lots 1 to 16,. Block 17;
Lots 1. to 14,. Block 18;
tots 1 to 1.4, Block 19;
• hots 1. to 5, and Lots; 14 to 20, Block 22;
Lots 1 to 6, Block 23; •
Lots 1 to 1.6, Block 24; •
tots 1. to 16, Block 25; all in "The Uplands "`;
ALSO,. the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
• Quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18,.E; EXCEPT roads;
• ALSO, beginning 1247.5 feet North of the Southwest corner of the: Northeast
Quarter of Section 22,. Township 13• North, Range 18, E.W.M.; Thence South
2:10.8 feet; thence East 211.5 feet; thence North 44 ° 50'. West 51 feet; thence
'North 34 ° 00 1 West 104.4 feet; thence North 47 ° 40' West 151.5 feet; thence

• South 89 ° 50? West 20.3 feet to the point of beginning; EXCEPT road and
EXCEPT the South 60 feet.

Section 3. All of the costs and expenses: in connection with the making
and construction of said improvement, including the cost and expense of all engineering,
inspection, advertising, publication of .notices, and all other expenses incident
thereto, s.hail be levied and assessed upon all of the.property embraced within said
Local Improvement District; in accordance with the special benefits conferred thereon
in the manner provided by the laws of the State of Washington and the ordinances: of
the City of Yakima; and said City shall not be liable in any manner for any protion of
said costs and expenses of said.improvement. .

Section 4. All of the work necessary to be done in connection with the
making of said improvement sahll be done by and na de by contract upon competitive bids;
and said City of Yakima shall have and reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
• Section 5. There is hereby created a special fund, to be called "Local
Imp^ ovement Fund District No. 733", into which shall be paid all sums paid on account
of the aforementioned special assessment, including all interest and penalties thereon;
and, in the event of the sale of Local Improvement Bonds, by this' City, all premiums and
interest on said bonds issued for said improvement.

Section 6. Bonds bearing interest at the rate of 4 per cent per annum,
payable on or before 12 years from date of issuance, shall, be issued in payment of the
cost and expense of said improvement; which bonds whall be redeemed by the collection
of special assessments to be levied and assessed upon the property within said
district, payable in 10,equal annual: installments, with interest at the rate of 4: per
cent per annu; interest payable annually under the mode of "payment of bonds!'' as
defined by the statutes of the State of Washington and the Ordinances of the City of
Yakima..
Section 7. This ordinance is one relating to local improvements or
assessments therefor, and shall b ecome effective immediately upon its passage., approval
and publication as provided by City Charter.
