ORDINANCE NO. B -1298,
AN ORDINANCE re- zoning Lots 2 to 17, inclusive, of Block 22, The Uplands, from
"A" Residence District to Limited Business District; and re- zoning Lots
1, 18, 19,. and 20, of Block 22; Block 23; Block 24; and Block 25, The
Uplands; from "A Residence District to "B "` Residence District..
WHEREAS, the City Commission has duly considered the re- zoning of the
premises named in the caption hereof, which are situated in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington; which said premises are now "A" Residence District; to Limited
Business District, for Lots 2 to 17, inclusive of Block 22; and to "B" Residence
District, for Lots 1, 18, 19, and 20 of Block 22; Block 23; Block 24; and Block 25;
and it appearing that the Yakima Planning Commission has approved and recommended
such changes; and there having been conducted a public hearing upon the matter, before
the Yakima City Commission, and it appearing to be for the best interests of the City
of Yakima to so re -zone said premises; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKLMA:
Section 1. That the following described property, situate in the City
of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to-wit:
Lots 2 to 17, inclusive, of Block 22, The Uplands; according
to the official plat thereof on file and of record in the
office of the ;County Auditor, Yakima County, Washington;
be and the same hereby is re -zoned to a Limited Business District classification.
Section 2. That the following described g•operty, situate in the City
of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington; to -wit:
Lots 1, 18, 19,..and 20, of Block 22; Block 23; Block 24;
• and_Block 25;. The Uplands; according to the official plat thereof
on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor, Yakima
County, Washington;.
be and the sane is hereby re -zoned to a "B" Residence District classification.
Section 3. The above changes in zoning shall be included in•and depicted
upon the next regular amended height, area and use district maps, prepared by and for
the City. All of the limitations on use and height provided for business districts by
the General Zoning Ordinance of the City of Yakima, the same being Ordinance No. B -293.
amd amendmean.ts thereto; are hereby declared to apply to and govern the property
described herein, from and after the effective date of this Ordinance. The limitations
upon area for said property; as provided by said General Zoning Ordinance, shall
remain as the limitations provided for the First Area District, as described thereunder.
Section 4. This Ordinance shailbecome effective 30 days after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City, Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 17th day of
September, 1951. .
