ORDINANCE NO. B -1279
AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the, City of Yakima, Washington, of certain
property contiguous to the present boundaries of said City.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been had in accordance with Chapter 128 of the
Laws of 1945, for the annexation of the property hereinafter described; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described territory contiguous to the City
of Yakima, Washington, to -wit:
Beginning at a point 1096.7 feet north of the center of Section 22,
Township. 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence east to the easterly right
of way line of the Yakima Valley Canal Company, which line is the
present westerly line of the city limits of the City of Yakima; thence
in a northwesterly direction along said right of way line and city
limits to the center line of Lincoln Avenue as extended to the west;
thence west across Crescent Drive and along the center line of Sunset
Avenue to a point due south of the southeast corner of the southeast
quarter of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of said
Section 22; thence north to the northeast corner of the southeast
quarter of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of said
Section; thence west along the north line of said subdivision to the
intersection of the center line of "ouglas Drive with the center line
of 46th Avenue North; thence south along the center line of 46th
Avenue North to the center line of Sunset Avenue; thence west along the
center line of Sunset Avenue to a point where the westerly line of
Lot 1, Block 13, The Uplands, according to the plat thereof recorded in
Volume 0 of Plats, page 28, 'records of the Auditor of Yakima County,
Washington, as extended, would intersect said center line; thence south-
west along said line as extended and the westerly line of Lots 1 and 13,
Block 13, of the said The Uplands, to the intersection with the center
line of Avalanche Avenue; thence westerly and southwesterly along the
center line of Avalanche Avenue to a point where the northerly line of
Lot 28, Gilbert Uplands, according to the plat thereof, recorded in
Volume J of Plats, page 32, records of the Auditor of Yakima County,
Washington, if extended, would intersect said center line; thence north -
westerly along said line as •extended and along the northerly line of
said Lot, to the northwest corner thereof; thence southwesterly along
the westerly line of said lot to the north and east right of way line of
Yakima Valley Canal Company right of way; thence easterly along said
right of way line to its intersection with the' center line of Summitview
Avenue; thence east along the center line of Summitview Avenue to its
intersection with the center line of Crescent Drive, such point being
the center of said Section 22; thence north along the center line of
Crescent Drive 1096.7 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days after
its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this 20th day of
August, 1951.
