B -1261 AN ORDINANCE amending Section 71(a) of Ordinance No. B -131, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating and regulating traffic, travel and transportation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the public; prescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses, providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with or relating to the subject matter of this ordinance, and declaring an emergency. "; as amended by Ordinances No. B -571, B -726, B -956, B -1186, and B -1246; and declaring_an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C ITY OF YAKIMA : . Section 1. That Section 71 -a3 of Ordinance No. B -131, passed and approved by the City Commission on February 26, 1936, and entitled as set forth in the caption hereof; and the amendments thereto by Ordinance No. 8 -571, passed and approved by the City Commission on the 1st day of September, 1942; and by Ordinance No. B -726, passed and approved by. the City Commission on September 3, 1946; and by Ordinance No. B -956, passed and approved by the City Commission on December 6, 1948; and by Ordinance No. B -1186, passed and approved by the City Commission on October 16, 1950; and by Ordinance No. B -1246, passed and approved by the City Commission on May 21, 1951, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 71 -a3. The following described portions of the following named avenues and streets in the City of Yakima are hereby established as thirty- minute parking meter zones: 1st meter, South Front and Yakima Avenue on Front. Street ist meter, North Front and Yakima Avenue on Front.Street 1st aid last meters on North and South sides of Yakima Avenue, Front to 1st Street . 1st and last meters on North and South sides of Yakima Avenue from 1st to 2nd Street 1st and last meters on forth and South sides of Yakima Avenue " from 2nd to 3rd Street 1st and last meters on North and South sides of Yakima Avenue from 3rd to 4th Street 1st and last meters on. North and South sides of Yakima Avenue from 4th Street to Neches Avenue All meters, West side South 1st Street, from Yakima Avenue South to first alley 1st meter, East and West side North :Lst Street, from Yakima Avenue 1st meter, East and West side South 2nd Street, from Yakima Avenue 1st meter, East and West side North 2nd Street, from Yakima Avenue 1st meter, East and West side `'outh 3rd Street, from Yakima Avenue 1st meter, East and West side North 3rd Street, from Yakima Avenue 1st meter, We::t 'side South 4th Street, from Yakima Avenue The East side of South 4th Street, from Yakima Avenue to a point 64 feet South of the curb line on Yakima Avenue; and from a point 100 feet South of the curb line of Yakima Avenue, South a distance of 24 feet. 1st meter, East and West side North 4th Street, from Yakima Avenue 1st meter, West side of South 3rd Street, North from Chestnut Street" Section 2. This ordinance is one, to provide for the immediate preserva- tion of public peace, health, welfare and safety of the people of the City of Yakima; and an emergency is hereby declared to exist; and said ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the Lity Charter.
