B -1231 AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 1 and 17 of Ordinance No. A -376, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE regulating the keeping, selling, and disposal of meats and fish; providing a license therefor, and penalties for violations thereof; and declaring an emergency." as amended by Ordinance No. B -209; and declaring an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. A -376, passed and approved by the City Commission on March 4, 1919, and entitled as set forth in the caption hereof, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. • No person shall hereafter sell or in any way dispose of, or in any way engage in the business of selling or otherwise disposing of any kind of fresh orfrozen meat or fish in the City of Yakima, with- out procuring a license so to do." Section 2. That Section 17 of Ordinance No. A -376, passed and approved by the City Commission on March 4, 1919, and entitled as set forth in the caption hereof; and the amendment thereto by Ordinance No. B -209, passed and approved by the City Commission on August 9, 1937, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 17. The City Health Officer, the City Meat Inspector, and the City Food Inspector, shall have access to all meat and fish markets, where fresh orfrozen meat and fish or the products thereof are sold or offered for sale, at all reasonable times that they may desire to make inspections." Section 3. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preserva- tion of public peace, health, welfare and safety of the people of the City of Yakima; and an emergency is hereby declared to exist; and said Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City charter.
