B -1211 AN ORDINANCE repealing Section 301 (3),, and amending Section 305 (a), of Ordinance No. B -850, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE to be known as the Electrical Code.of the City of Yakima, for safeguarding life and property by regulating the installation, alteration, repair, use and operation of electric wires, appliances, apparatus and devices in or about buildings on private or public property; providing for the licensing for regulation and revenue of electrical contractors, dealers and wiremen; defining approved ,electri- cal materials and appliances; prohibiting the sale or use of unapproved materials and appliances; providing penalties for the violation hereof; repealing Ordinance No. B -25 of the City of Yakima and all other ordin- ances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith." BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON :• Section 1. That Section 301 (3) of Ordinance No. B -850, passed and approved by the City Commission on February 2, 1948,. and entitled as set forth in the caption hereof, be and thesame is hereby repealed. Section 2. That Section 305 (•a) of Ordinance No. B -850, passed and approved by the City 'Commission on February:2, 1948, and entitled as set forth in the caption hereof, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 305. License Fees. (a) The license fees for electrical contractors shall be 0.50.00 per year, renewal $50.00 per year; for electrical maintenance 825.00 per .year, renewal 010.00 per year, each payable in advance." Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective 30 days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
