ORDINANCE N0. B -1202
AN ORDINANCCE for the preservation of the public peace, safety, morality, and good order
in the City of Yakima, by prohibiting false, misleading or unfounded
reports to the Police Department; providing penalty for the violation
thereof, and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIIvIA :
Section 1.. It shall be unlawful for any person to ,knowingly cause or
make any false, misleading, or unfounded report to the Police Department of the City
of Yakima, for the purpose of interfering with the operation of the Police Department,
or with the intention of misleading any police officer.
Section 2. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor; and upon conviction thereof shall be pun-
ished by a fine in any sum not exceeding 000.00, or by imprisonment in the City Jail
for a term not exceeding 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3. This Ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace, health and safety of the people of the city of Yakima, and
an emergency is hereby declared to exist; and this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, approval and publication as provid-
ed by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved, this lst day of
December, 1950.
