B -1194 AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of all streets and alleys lying within the property which lies easterly of the Naches' and Cowiche 'Canal, west of Nineteenth Avenue South, north of Tieton Drive and south of West Chestnut Street, all being streets in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington; said property being located in the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M. WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, praying for the vacation of all streets and alleys lying within the prop- erty described in the title of this Ordinance; and WHEREAS; by Resolution adopted by the City Commission, a hearing on said petition was set for the 30th day of October, 1950, at the hour of 10 :00 otclock in the forenoon of said day, at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima, Washington; and notice thereof was duly given in the manner provided by statute, by the ,City Clerk of said City; and WHEREAS, upon the hearing on said petition, no objection was made there- on or 'filed; and it being deemed for the best interests of the City of Yakima that said petition be granted, and said streets and alleys be vacated; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINEI) BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. That the following described streets and alleys in the City of Yakima, Washington, to -wit: All streets and alleys lying within the property which lies easterly of the Naches and Lowiche Canal, west of Nineteenth Avenue South, north of Tieton Drive and south of West Chestnut Street, all being streets in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington; said property being located in the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 13 forth, Range 18, E.W.M. be and the same hereby are vacated. Section 2. The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary easements and rights of way for the installation and maintenance of any and all water mains,- sewers or utilities of any and all kinds which may now exist in said streets and alleys, or which it may hereafter desire to construct therein. Section 3. There is also reserved an electric power line easement for the Pacific' Power & Light Co., . its successors or assigns, along the alley where the electric power line now exists.
