The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Riley.and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll cal]..
Moved by Riley, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, January 16th, 1.939 and adjourned meeting thereof be•a.pproved as read: carried,
Riley, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give
notice to materiAlmen for material to be used for the sewer system in Local Improve-
ment District No. 54.5', known as the "South Nob Hill Sewer System"; said bid.s to be
received on Monday, February 6th, 1939 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Riley, Washburn
and Clark voting aye 'on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -372, WE, THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, at a regular meet-
ing on the 23rd day of January, 1939, have passed the following resolution in connec-
tion with the proposed Works Progress Administration Airport located in Yakima, Wash-
ington and Sponsored by the City of Yakima.
RESOLVED; that for and in consideration of the Federal funds
made available through the WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION for the improvement of the
City Municipal Airport and landing facilities, we pledge that said Airport will at
all times be operated and maintained as a City Airport for the Public benefit, with-
out unjust discrimination against or in favor of any person or Corporation, including
any scheduled Airline Operator.
It is further certified that the fee simple title to the land
on which the Airport is located rests in the County of Yakima and that the City of
Yakima has a, lease covering said grounds, said lease being for a peri_od.of ten ,years
terminating August 15th, 1948.
