The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that the minutes of the regular meeting of Mon-
day, November 30th and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratt
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Stratton that this being the time for the hearing on Resolu-
tion No: C -19 for constructing a sewer between 9th and 10th streets from Race Street to
the north line of Maple Addition and-there being insufficient protest against said im-
provement; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district be
passed as finally read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCR NO. B -20, entitled,. "An Ordinance providing for the improvement of property
in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of a sewer, establishing a Local
Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a
special fund ", was introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that.Ordinance No. B -20 be passed to its sec -
ond reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -20 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -20 be passed as finally
read_: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
notice to contractors by publication as required by law for constructing a sewer in the
alley between South 9th and South 10th Streets from Race Street to the north line of
Maple Addition in Local Improvement District No. 501; said bids to be received on Mon-
day, December 21st, 1931 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for the hearing on Reso-
lution No. C -20 for vacating property abutting upon a portion of Nest "A" Street in
the City of Yakima, and there being no protests in writing or otherwise to said vaca-
tion proceedings or any part thereof; it is ordered that the ordinance vacating said
property be passed as finally read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye .
on roll,call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -21, entitled, "An Ordinance vacating that portion of West A Street be-
tween 9th Avenue North and 11th Avenue North, in the City of Yakima, Washington ", was
introduced by Clark and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Washburn that Ordinance No. B -21 be passed to its second
read and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.

RESOLUTION NO. 0-24) A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 7, Block 1, Bungalow.
Addition to North Yakima according to the - official plat thereof, to Emil Ballinger.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following described
real - :property situated in Yakima, County, State of Washington, to -wit:
Lot 7, Block 1, Bungalow Addition to North Yakima,
now Yakima, according to the official plat
thereof now on file and of record in volume E
of plats page 11 in the office of the auditor
of Yakima County, Washington,
by reason of a deed therefor issued by the Treasurer of the City of Yakima to said City
_of Yakima, on sale of said property for delinquent assessments, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interest of said City of
Yakima to sell said premises to EMIL BALLINGER,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby authorize
to be sold to EMIL BALLINGER for the total sum of Two Hundred Thirteen and 42/100 ($213.
42) Dollars, tb be paid as follows:the sum of Forty two and 42/100 ($$42.42) Dollars in"
cash upon the execution of a proper contract and the further sum of One Hundred Seventy
One and,00 /100 ($$171.00) -in monthly installments of Five ($$5.00) per month together
with interest at the rate of six (6 %) per cent on monthly balances, payments of prin-
cipal and interest to begin January 1, 1932 and to continue until the total purchase
price shall have been paid in full, and
The Mayor, W. W. Stratton and the City Clerk, Pearl Benjamin,
are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement of purchase with said
Emil Ballinger under the terms hereinabove set forth.

RESOLUTION-NO: C -25, WHEREAS, Article 111, of Ordinance No. A -1228, passed by the City
Commission of the City of Yakima, on the 22nd day of September, 1930, provided among
other things that the City Commission deterrnine.and designate traffic signs and signals
to.be placed upon the streets and alleys of said city, subsequent to the .passage of
said ordinance,. and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary by the City Commission to remove
th.e automatic traffic signal now located at West Yakima Avenue and First Avenue in said
city, and place said signal at the intersection.of South First Street and.Walnut street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the automatic signal now locat,
First Avenue be moved to the intersection of South First
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION this
