The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Washburn
and: Clark . present on roll call..

Moved by Clark, seconded, by Washburn that the hearing on Resolution No. 0-5 be continued
to Monday, August 24th, 1931, at 9 o'clock A.M: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark
voting ayet. on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to call
for bids for coal for the ensuing year; said bids to be received on Monday, August 24th,
1931 at 10 o'clock A.M: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -11, WHEREAS, Article lll., of Ordinance No. A -1228, passed by the City
Commission of the City of Yakima, on the 22nd day of September, 1930, provided among
other things that the City Commission determine and designate traffic signs and signals
to be placed upon the streets and alleys of said city, subsequent to the passage of said
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient by the City Commission to cause
stop signs to be placed upon various streets of the City of Yakima.for.the protection
and safety of the people of said city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA; that stop
signs be placed at the intersection of the following named streets to -wit: _On the
east and west side of North Third Street and. "B" Street; on the east and west side of
North Fourth Street and "B" Street; on the east and west side of Naches Avenue North
and 11B" Street; on the east and west side of North Third Street and "C" Street; on the
east and west side of North Fourth Street and "C" Street; on the east and west side of
Naches Avenue North and "C" Street; on the east and west side of North Third Street and
"D" Street; on the east and west side of North Fourth Street and "D" Street and. on the
East and west side of Naches Avenue North and "D" Street.
Adopted by "the City Commission this 10th day of August, 1931.

City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Street Dept. $946.50; Park Dept.
$601.00; Trimming Trees Dept. $60.00; Cemetery Dept. $150.00; Cemetery Care Dept.
$432.00 and Permanent Highway Dept. $38.00: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark vot-
ing.-aye on roll call.

City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor: carried, Stratton, 'Washburn and
