The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Washburn
and Clark present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of thezegular meeting of Monday,
July 27th, 1931 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton,
Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on Reso-
lution No. 0-5 providing for the construction of a sewer in Leamings Addition; and a
number of property owners appearing to object to said improvement, it is ordered that
the hearing be continued to Monday, August 10th, 1931 at 9 o'clock A. M: carried,
Stratton, Washburn and Clerk voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Washburn,, seconded by Clark that this being the time for 'the hearing on the
assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 497 and a request being made by.T. B.
Collins, representative of the 0. W. R. & N. Co. that the hearing be continued to
Tuesday, August 4, 1931, at 9 o'clock A. M. in.order that they might enter a protest
against said assessment roll; it is ordered that said request be granted and that we
adjourn to meet Tuesday, August 4th, 1931 at 9 o'clock A. M: carried, Stratton, Wash-
burn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ADJOURNED MEETING, TUESDAY, AUGUST 4th, 1931, 9 A. M.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the protest of the Oregon - Washington Rail-
road & Navigation Co. to the assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 497,
was withdeawn by T. B. Collins, representative of the Company; and the ordinance con-
firming -said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as finally read: carried,
Stratton, Washburn.and Clark voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -4, entitled, "An Ordinance confirming the assessment roll covering Lo-
cal:Improvement District No. 497, as created and established by Ordinance No. A -1282
of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima ", was introduced by Stratton and read by the
City Clerk.
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance. No. B -4 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on
roll call..
Moved by Washburn, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -4 be passed to its third
reading and. read in.full: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Washburn, sedonded by Clark that Ordinance No. B -4 be passed as finally read:
carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call.
