Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 6th, 1931 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Washburn and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Washburn that this being the time for receiving bids for constructing a sidewalk on Jefferson Avenue in Local Improvement District No. 498, the following were received: J. M. DeBlasio Long & Cox $689.58 583.41 The bid of Long & Cox being the lowest and best bid in the sum of $553.41, said contract was awarded to them and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of said City upon the filing of a proper bond therefor: carried, Stratton, Washburn-and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. 0-5, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASH- INGTON That it is the intention of the City Commission of said City of Yakima, Washington, to construct pipe sewers along the following described lines: Be- ginning at First Avenue North; thence west on Quince Street, to Sixth_ Avenue North; thence north on Sixth Avenue to North Avenue; also, on Fifth Avenue North from the P. P. & L. Co. Wasteway to North Avenue; also, on Fourth Avenue North and Fourth Avenue North extended from the P. P. & L. Co. Wasteway to North Avenue, all in the City of Yakima, Washington; said sewers to be eight inches in diameter, except the two lines extending south of Quince Street, which are to be six inches in diameter; together with the necessary wye branches, manholes and flush tanks, and by doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith; all in accordance with plans and specifi- cations therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are-hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its offices in the City-Office Building in the City of Yakima, Washington, at the hour of 9:00 o'cllck A. M., on Monday, the 3rd day of August, 1931, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and the-intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as pro- vided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission, at or prior to the time fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other in- formation required by to be submitted by him. C -6, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 5, Block 197, East Home Addition to Yakima, Washington, according to the official plat thereof filed and re- corded in the Auditor's Office of Yakima County, Washington, to*Fred T. Hawkins and May Agnes Hawkins, husband and wife. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is now the owner of.the following de- scribed real property situated in Yakima County, State of Washington, to -wit: - Lot 5, Block 197, East Home Addition to Yakima, Washington, according to the official plat thereof now on file and of' record. in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Wash., by reason of a deed therefor issued by the County Treasurer of Yakima County, State of Washington, on sale of said property for delinquent taxes, and WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of said City of Yakima to sell said premises to Fred T. Hawkins and May Agnes Hawkins, Husband and wife. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That said above described premises be and they are hereby authorized to be sold to Fred T. C -7, A RESOLUTION providing for the purchase of that part of Lots 15 and 16, Block 330, Capitol Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima) Washington, according to the official plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the northerly line of Lot 15, 75 feet easterly of the northwest corner thereof; thence easterly along the north line of Lots 15 and 16, to the northeast corner of Lot 16; thence southeasterly along the easterly line of Lotl6, -a distance of 7 feet; thence westerly along a circular curve to the left, having a radius of 400 feet, to the point of beginning; WHEREAS, Hester K. Current is the owner of the above described property, and the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, is desirous of purchasing said property for a right of way in connection with the opening of Summitview Avenue for street purposes; and WHEREAS, the said Hester'K.
