The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Clark and
Traub present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
May 4th, 1931 be approved as read: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the continued hearing on Resolution No. B -1181,
for paving South 6th Street from East Spruce Street to East Beech Street, and South 7th
Street from East Yakima Avenue to East Pine Street was considered, and the improvement
abandoned indefinitely for the reason that a majority of the property owners protested
against said improvement: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the continued hearing on Resolution No. B -1182,
for paving North 8th Street from East Yakima Avenue to -East D Street and East A Street
from North ,6th Street to North 8th Street was considered, and the improvement abandoned
indefinitely for the reason that a majority of the property owners protested against said
improvement: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. A -1288; entitled, "An Ordinance fixing the time of delinquency of the
assessments levied for the payment of the cost and expense of the improvement in Local
Improvement District No. 492, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons at-
tached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof ", was introduced by Traub and reed
by the City Clerk.
Moved. by Stratton,. seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. A -1288 be passed t.o its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. A -1288 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. A -1288 be passed as finally read:
carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Stratton that the following claims be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting

being the lowest and best bid for said compresser, and the sum of .$500.00 per month for
rental for a trench digger being the lowest and best.bid submitted by the Howard- Cooper
Co. Inc., said contract-s were awarded to said companies: carried, Stratton, Clark and
Traub voting aye on roll call.
