The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Clark and
Traub present az roll call.
Loved by Stratton,-seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
March 30th,.1931, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton,
Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the contract submitted by the Washington Flag
and'Decorating Co, for one -half expense for decorating the City during State Fair Week,
in the sum of $75.00 is hereby approved: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the application of J. E. Klingele for per-
mission to conduct a retail service station for the sale of gasoline, oil and motor
vehicle supplies at No. 606 South First Street, in the City of Yakima is hereby granted:
carried, Stratten,.Clark and Traub voting_aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. A -1282, entitled, "An Ordinance providing for the improvement of property
in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction -of a sewer, establishing a Local
Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and, -creating a
special fund ", was introduced by Traub and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. A -1282 be passed to its second
reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll
call.
Loved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that. Ordinance No. A -1282 be passed to its third
reading and read in full: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by.Stratton, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. A -1282 be passed as finally
read: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Clark, seconded by Traub that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to advertise
for bids for constructing a sewer on.'Broadway Avenue and other streets in the City of
Yakima in Local Improvement District No. 497; said bids to be received on Monday, April
20th, 1931 at 10 o'clock A. M: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Traub, seconded by Clark that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 492, and there being no protests in
writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or.any part thereof; it is ordered that
the ordinance confirming said assessment.roll and every part thereof be passed as -final
read :. carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub. voting aye on roll call._
ORDINANCE NO. A -1293, entitled, "An Ordinance confirming the assessment roll covering
Local Improvement.District No. 492, as created and established by Ordinance No. A -1237
of the ordinances of the City of Yakima," was introduced by Traub and read by the City
Clerk.

reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll
call.
