The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Stratton and Commissioners Clark and
Traub present on roll call.
Moved by Stratton,-seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
March 16th, 1931 and adjourned meetings thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton,
Clark and Traub voting aye on--roll call. _
ORDINANCE NO. A -1281, entitled, "An Ordinance relating to.and regulating the installa-
tion and maintenance of oil and gasoline service stations outside the fire'limits of
the City of Yakima, providing a penalt for the violation thereof and declaring an em-
ergency and repealing Ordinance No. All approved. the 6th day of October, 1919," was
introduced by Stratton and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Traub, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. A -1281 be passed to its second
_reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll
call.

RESOLUTION NO. B -1178, A RESOLUTION authorizing the sale of Lot 81 Block,441 Tennant &
Miles' West Modern Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima), according to the official
plat thereof now on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County,
Washington, to F. I. RUSSELL and ELLA RUSSELL, husband and wife.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is the owner of the following de-
scribed real property situated in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, to -wit:
Lot 8, Block 44, Tennant & Miles' West
Modern Addition to North Yakima (now
Yakima), according to the official
plat thereof now on file and of re-
cord in the office of the Auditor of
Yakima County, Washington,
by reason of a deed therefor issued by the County Treasurer;- of.the County of Yakima.
State of Washington, to saidCity of Yakima, on sale of said property for delinquent
taxes, and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of said City
of Yakima to sell said premises to F. I. RUSSELL and ELLA RUSSELL, husband and wife,
upon the terms and conditions he.reirafter set forth,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON:
That said above described premises be and they are hereby author-
ized to be sold to F: I. RUSSELL and ELLA RUSSELL, husband and wife, fo.r the total sum
of Two Hundred Seventy and 00 /100 ($270.00) Dollars, payable as follows: the sum of

Twenty -five and 00 /100 ($25.00).Dollars in cash upon the execution of the contract here-
in authorized and the balance of Two Hundred Forty -five and 00 /100 ($.24__5.00) Dollars in
monthly payments'of Ten and 00 /100 (°$10.00) Dollars beginning May 1st, 1931 and continu-
ing until said balance shall have been paid in full. All deferred payments to bear in-
terest at the rate of six (6 %) per cent per annum payable monthly with principal payments
The purchaser under said contract shall also agree to pay all
assessments against said premises falling due under any Local Improvement-Distriet or
Districts hereafter created or arising from levies hereafter placed against said premises
and the Mayor and City Clerk of said City are hereby authorized and directed to enter
.into a contract in duplicate with said purchaser under the terms hereinabove set forth.
.Said agreement to be entered into shall also contain suitable
provisions requiring any buildings uppn said premises to be insured at the expense of
the second party in a solvent insurance company satisfactory to first party as its inter-
est may.appea.r and shall contain a provision that in case of destruction of or damage to
any buildings or improvements on said premises such damage or loss shall be the loss of
second party and shall not�be a ground for rescission of said contract; and said contract
shall also contain a suitable provision providing for forfeiture thereof upon failure of
second party to make any payment of principal, interest, taxes or assessments therein
provided for when same shall become due or delinquent, notice of such forfeiture to be
for 30 days and service thereof to be by serving same personally upon second party or by
mailing to him.at Yakima, Washington; and a further provision shall be placed therein
that upon final payment of said principal and interest and taxes and assessments the
first party shall convey said premises to second party by a good and sufficient Quit
Claim Deed conveying all the interest of said City of Yakima in said premises; and the.
further-.-provision shall be contained in said contract against the assignment of second
party without the consent of first party had and obtained.

and BORGHILD C. HELLAND, husband and wife.

ized to be sold to GEO. M. HELLAND and BORGHILD C. HELLAND, husband and wife, for the
total sum of Sixty -seven and 00 /100 ($67.00) Dollars, and the Mayor, W. W. STRATTON, is
hereby authorized to execute a deed to said premises, and the City Clerk, PEARL BENJAMIN
is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same for and on behalf of the City of
Yakima.

balance of One Hundred Ninety and 00 /100 ($190.00) Dollars in monthly payments of Seven
