Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that the City Engineer having repported the comple- tion of paving the alley in Block 33, Local Improvement District No. x+92, by the Con- tractor, J. M.. DeBlasio in the.sum of $22331:92, said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll therefor-and the City Clerk au- thorized to give- notice of hearing on said roll -for Monday, April 6th, 1931 at 9 o'clock A. M: carried, Stratton, Clark -and Traub voting-aye on roll call. Moved by Clary, seconded by Stratton that this being the time for receiving bids for furnishing gasoline . for the City cars for the ensuing year, the following were received; The Texas Company, tankwagon price in effect at time and place of delivery,. less 5 cents per gallon. Associated Oil Co, Flat price of 14 cents per gallon. Sunset.Pacific Oil Co., 14 oents. -Shell Oil Co., 14 cents and - not -to exceed 18 cents. The awarding of the contract was postponed to Wednesday, March 18th, 1931 -at 9 o'clock A. M: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -11771 A petition having been filed by the owners of more than two- thirds (2 /3).of the private property,_for the vacation of that portion of West Beech Street a- butting upon: '(1) All that part of West Beech Street lying between the west line of Broadway and the east line of Fourth Avenue South.in the City of Yakima, Washington. (2) All that part of West.Beech Street lying west of the west line of Fourth Avenue South and east of the east line of the alley in Block 276 Lund's Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima), extended southerly. (3) All that part of West-Beech Street as follows: Bounded on the east by the west line of the alley in Block 276, Lund's Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima), extended southerly; on the north by said Block 276., on the west by the east line of Fifth Avenue South and on the South by a line parallel to and 30 feet north of the south line of Section 252 Township 13 North, Range 18 E. W. M., and it qppearing that the said petitioners are the owners of more than two - thirds (213) of the private property abutting upon that part of said street sought to be vacated; NOW:, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, said petition. shall come on for hearing before the City Commission of .the City of Yakima, Washington, at ten o'clock A. M., on the 13th day of April, 1931, at which said time said petition shall be heard and determined.
