Lion of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 49.6 by the Contractors, Ward
Reed and Ed. Carroll in the sum of 0,759.171 it is ordered that said work be accepted and
the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said District and the
City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday, 'March,9th, 1931
at 9 o' -clock A. M :. carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.

Clerk authorized to issued warrants therefor: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting

February 2,'1931 and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read: carried, Stratton,
Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.

ing on the assessment roll in Local Improvement District No. 495, and there being no
objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; -it is
ordered that the-ordinance confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be

tofore filed with the City Clerk calling for a special election•to vote on the question
of placing Yakima as 'a city of the first class; it.is ordered that said petition be
granted and the ordinance providing for a'special election for said - purpose be passed
as finally read: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO.' A -1276, entitled, "An Ordinance providing for the - .calling and holding of
a special election to be held in the City of Yakima, on Monday, March 16, 1931, for the
purpose of electing fifteen freeholders to frame a charter for said City, declaring
the Qualifications .of candidates and providing for the filing of declarations of can -
didacy and for the placing of candidates' names upon ballots,.for the printing of ballots
and the method of voting thereon, providing.that the fifteen candidates receiving the
highest number of votes shall be declared elected and shall convene within ten days
thereafter and frame a charter for said City and that within thirty days thereafter they
or a majority'of their number shall submit such charter to the City Commission of said
City_,. and declaring an emergency ",_was introduced by Stratton and read by the City Clerk.
