Moved by „Stratton; seconded by Clark that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 1st, 1930 be approved. as read: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye' on roll call. Moved. by Traub, seconded by Clark that this-being the time for the adjourned hearing., on Resolution No. B -1165 for constructing a sewer in the alley between South 9th Street and-South 10th Street, extending from Race Street to the North line of Maple Addition and there being more than fifty per cent protest by property owners in the district sought to be improved; it is ordered that said improvement be abandoned: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub vot -ing aye -on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. B- 1168,,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is the intention of the City Commission d said City of Yakima, Washington, to improve Fifth and Sixth Avenues North, by the construction of an -eight inch sewer beginning at the end of the existing sewer in the alley east of Sixth Avenue North, which is approximately sixty-feet south of Pacific-,Power and Light Company' -s wasteway, and: extending thence'north parallel with Sixth Avenue North to Quince Street, all in the City of Yakima,.Washington, 'together with one manhole, one flush tank and the necessary wye branches., and by doing all- such= other wirk as maybe necessary in connection -therewith; all in accordance with the plans and - specifications therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer and to' be filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its offices in the City-Office Building in the City of Yakima, Washington, at the hour of 9:00 o'clock A.M., on-Monday,-the 29th day of December, 1.930, which time and -place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement,'all objections thereto and-for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk . is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.- The cost and expense of said improvement shall -be -borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and -properly assessable'therefor, as pro- vided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at, -or prior to the time fixed herein for said hearing,--all of the data and other infor- mation:required by law to be submitted by him.. A -1257, entitled, "An Ordinance confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. x-83, as created and established by Ordinance No. A -1212 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima”, was introduced by Traub and read by the City Clerk. Moved by Stratton, seconded by Clark that Ordinance No. A- 1257 -be passed to its second reading and read by title only: carried, Stratton, Clark and Traub voting aye on roll call.
