The City Commission met in regular session,Ylayor Dudley and Commissioners Hedges and
Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Dudley,seconded by Hedges, that the minutes of the regular meeting ar` I+ +Monday
November 25th,1029 and adjourned meeting be approved as read;carried,Dudle -\.,Hedges
and Coonse voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Coonse,.second.ed by Hedges, that the City Engineer having reported the com-
pletion of the improvement in Local Improvement District No.4173 by the contractor,
Geo.iMilton Savage Company, in the sum of , 4551.57, said work is hereby accepted and.
and City Engineer authorized, to prepare an assessment roll f-or said. district and the
City Clerk authorized. to give notice of nearing on said. roll for Iaonday, December
23rd,1929, at 9 o'clocl� A.M.ear.ried.,Dudley,Hedges and Coonse voting aye on roll call.

that it is neceasary for H.L-.Liston and Eva TM.L•iston, lessees In that certain lease
executed by them as lessees and by the City of Yakima as lessor under date of April 27
192;7, for the lease of the following described real property, to -wit:
That certain triangular tract of land known as Fraternal Park,
situate.partly in'the southwest quarter of Section 19�, and
partly in the Northwest quarter of Section 3.0, all in Township 13,
North, Range 18,E.uV'.M., and bounded on the_ north by Adams Avenue;
on the east by South Third. Street, and on the west by South Second
Street;
Also, that certain -tract located in the southwest quarter of said
.Section 19,.,and bounded. on the north by Race Street;, on the east
by South Third Street and on the South by Adams Avenue.
to assign their interest in said lease to Surety Finance Company of Yakima,rrashi.ngton,
a corporation, as security for a loan, and. it appearing to the best interest of said
City to consent to said assignment,

of the General Municipal Election held on the 2nd day of December., 1929; carried., Dudley
Hedges and Coonse voting-aye-on roll call.
CANVASS OF TETURNS OF THE GEITERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF YAKI19A,11ASHINGTON, ON THE 2ND
DAY OF DECEMBER, 1929.
We, the undersigned members of the City Commission of the City of Yakima,
Washington, and charged. by law tith the duty of canvassing the votes at airy general
municipal election of said city, at' an adjourned meeting of a regular meeting of the
City Commission held on the 2nd day of December,1929, do hereby certify that we have
carefully and completely canvassed the teturns of,the votes cast at the general
municipal election held. in the City of Yakima on the 2nd day of Dece:,iber,1929, for the
purpose of electing aMayor and two City Commissioners under and pursuant to the pro-
visions of Chapter 116, of the Session Laws of 1911, amd we findfrom the returns and
votes cast at said election that the number of votes cast for each candidate in each
of the thirty precincts in said city are as follovis,to -wit:

Ve, therefore, find and. determine from the above and foregoing can-
vass and totals, that the number of, votes cast for Fred Chandler for Mayor
are 1872; the njurkber of votes cast. for W.W.Stratton are 2394; the number of
votes cast for Geo.W.Clark are 2125; the number of votes cast for M.H. Hawks
are 2012; the number of votes cast. for J.T. Hedges are 2068 and the number
of votes cast for Henry Traub are 2196.
And we do further find and determine that VJ.W.Stratton has been duly
elected mayor of the City. of Yakima., and that Geo- W.Ciark af;d Henry Traub have been'
duly elected City Commissioners of the City of Yakima, and are entitle. to receive
certificates of election according to law.
